Magnificent pair of Danish brass candlesticks from the famous Danish metal factory ' Dansk Design'. These candlesticks have a beautifully elegant and curvaceous stem. Finished in brass, this is one of the highpoints of Dansk design. The designer is Jens Quistgaard design, ca. 1955. It is stamped to the base with the early rare hallmark from "DANSK DESIGNS DENMARK IHQ" The family of four ducks represented a unified family of products. The three wavy water lines signify the three major canals of Copenhagen, Denmark's capital city, where it all began. The candlesticks are in excellent condition with slight signs of wear and is an excellent example of Mid century modern Scandinavian design.
